Schools

• By law, children must be 5 years old on or before September 1 to enter kindergarten and 6 years old on or before September 1 to enter first grade.
  
• Documents required to register include a birth certificate, immunization records on South Carolina State forms, vision, hearing and dental screenings records from a family doctor or local clinic, social security card, and proof of residency in the school attendance zone.
